I have noticed an absurd amount of dog **** where I live and this area isn't exactly poor. I have yet to see someone not pick up their dog **** (because I would pick it up and hand it to them in a bag, as a polite **** you.)

Anyone noticing this as well? And can we make a unified effort to shame the ever living **** out of anyone who is not picking up after their dog?

Atleast it's not a human feces problem like San Francisco is facing... but yea the inconsiderate ******** not scooping should be punnished.

I learned something new today. Not sure if I wanted to learn that though lol

Got this problem where we live (Leslieville). Occasionally I also see human feces. It's gotten worse since covid.

What the actual ****..?

Poop shaming should be encouraged and supported . I see it all the time . I don't want to seem discriminatory , but its quite often little dog owners , possibly thinking tiny turds don't count.
I dont like your yappy ( almost always white) little dogs or your tiny turds.

Yes Im a dog owner, yes I pick up the ****.

We have a few phantom shitters in our neighbourhood. I wanted to get some flags made with “pick it up or have it delivered to your house” on them to put near the ”deposits”.

Yes. I've seen someone put up a little flag upon discovery of the poop with a handwritten note telling the owner to scoop it up... Probably not very effective but it got me interested in the note so maybe someone out there will learn something new...

Where I live, the off leash dog park is great, people socialize, dogs play, everyone has a good time, everyone picks up after their dog... The other park, the dark one with less traffic - that's where the "fringe minority" dawdle and leave poop... Also noticed more just sitting on the sidewalk.

Some condos are making owners submit doggie DNA. If your dogs crap get's found, you get a huge ticket to pay for the program. It would be nice if people weren't aholes to begin with but in the face of that behaviour, I am perfectly fine with four digit fines when caught. They only get caught very infrequently so you need to multiple what should be the correct fine for a single instance by the probability (well technically the inverse of the probability) of getting caught. Hell, revoke their dog license the second time they get caught and spot check their home. If they have a dog still, five digit fine. They can get a license again in a decade when they have matured.

It's one thing to not pick up after your dog, but my friend watched in disbelief as someone left a bag on her car's trunk as they walked by on the sidewalk. She yelled at them, but after they ignored her and kept walking, she flung it back at them. It wasn't tied up, so it opened in mid air and went everywhere... Instant Karma at its best.

Sadly, in Ontario, that gets your friend an assault conviction and the useless wanker nothing. Hell, the wanker can probably sue and win for dry cleaning and emotional distress.

I guess she was lucky there were no witnesses. Then again, she's well respected in her neighborhood, so most would take her side anyways, or at least look the other way.

I think it's safer to be confrontational, and give them the poop bag, possibly open and upside down.

"You forgot this, I know you didn't mean to. Oh I'm so sorry for dropping that on you.'

Works best post workout, in a wife beater, and being very tall. Men who are tall are very lucky lol

When I lived in Liberty Village, I learnt to not walk on the grass and looked down and watch where I stepped. Not really a problem anymore once I moved back to the 'burbs.

LOL. No kidding,

However advocates for the homeless are concerned that power washing human **** off the sidewalk is embarassing for those who left it there and it victimizes and shames them... It obviously shames them much worse than ******** in public in the first place.

I don't know why people are complaining as they basically voted for this.

My other question is how do you take a **** in the middle of the Bay Bridge... LOL
