Keep in mind that most serial killers start but torturing and killing animals, frequently graduating to pets, and finally to people. It demonstrates a lack of empathy, pointing to sociopathy.

The suggestion of putting the guy in prison for 10 years as someone mentioned.

But seriously, this guy that hurt the dog is going to get a slap on the wrist for a reason .......it's an animal.
Ofcourse the dog owner can sue, so he has recourse.
