I know its early but now is the time to buy cheaper seasons passes at the ski hills...I completed my first season snowboarding last year, and own my own gear...I am on the big hills but still falling, so I will still need to sharpen skills this year...but wondering where all of you buy your passes. I would really like to find a group that I can go with, as I now have noone to snowboard with....

I had a seasons pass to Blue mountain last year and went a few times with Pocket. Not the really a fan of waiting for long times at the bottom of the hill, but i didn't have to wait much with him. maybe once you're not falling a lot we can go together some time.

5x7 at blue is the same price until Nov.

Get the "Double Downs" in August/October.

Also DCEVENTS organizes great trips. Kind of a secret society, that's not so secret nowadays.

Had a Blue Mountain 5by7 pass two years in a row... Gotten to the point where I'm really sick of the line ups and thinking of getting a pass for somewhere closer and less busy. Not to mention all the retards on the hills that don't give a crap who they plow into....

AHHHHH thats not fair making me start day dreaming about snowboarding with 140 days still remaining. You'll pay for this! haha

Blue mountains 5x7 is the best deal. $200 and you can ride the biggest hill in onterrible all the time except suuuuper busy saturday and sunday mornings. if you can get a day off during the week its awesome, even going up once or twice a week at night the pass pays for itself within 3 trips. Plus they usually throw in a voucher for mt. tremblant($75 value) and some other coupons.

Sure we can go one day, but cause you brought it up, your driving!

sundancekid- Id love tooo!!!!!!!!! Totally want a board partner, Ive got a roxy board/burton bindings....

amazon---will let you know!

Hondaahhh- would love to go and I dont mind I will drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+1 on the 5x7 (had it 5 years running) though sometimes blue runs those women, men, college promos...that combined with double downs either ties 5x7 or slightly beats it dependin on the amount that you ride...though 5x7 does give you "decent" pricing for overnight stays?
I ride roxy by mervin, rest is burton...
@kawasakigal im still a bit leery and hesitant but I mainly do happy valley as a warm up, rest of the time on blue routes if you wanna go...
if you can hit up blue midweek is the best time...not as many kids...especially early in the day.

I could get a day off once in a while...would love to go...what is this double downs thing?

I also hit tremblant last year as well!

double down:http://bluemountain.ca/double_down.htm

basically any 2 days for just over the price of 1 blue mtn ticket. Im hopin to hit whistler or one of the BC mountains this year (tremblant is closer but much colder ive heard) but I wanted to be a little bit more proficient to make it worth my while.

on the upside ive heard a lot of people that learn on Ontario's (crappy) and icy hills do quite well there! how was tremblant?

I love it! I love it so much that it takes me a good three hours to wax my board!

I used to hate that too until I learned that the slopes are completely empty on Friday nights. I get off work at 4pm so I head up there for 6pm and board for a few hours. It's great, you get about 20 or so runs in and absolutely no line ups!

I loved tremblant and the village everything!! I was on the moreMinor hills though sine I was new but really nice runs!! I would love to go again this year if others wanted to go!JennQUOTE=ice05;1609447]double down:http://bluemountain.ca/double_down.htmbasically any 2 days for just over the price of 1 blue mtn ticket. 3 hours to wax a board??? that makes no sense. I like to take my time, and its never been anywhere near 3 hours. not even when im pouring epoxy into half of it hahaha.

If you think tremblant is nice, check out Mt. Sutton. it's mostly glades, check youtube for some go pro vids. It's the best place ive been to yet.

I go to blue every chance I get. Best bang for the buck compared to other hills around here and the biggest:)

I happen to be on the ski patrol at Mount St Louis Moonstone. If you want to come up for a day we can car pool. With enough notice I could also score you a free lift ticket.

I wish I could snowboard today. I prefer cold over heat.

When its cold you can layer on to stay warm.
When you're hot...there's nothing to take off once you're down to nudism.

Luckily my gf has a pool. I'm going there right after work.
