Does anyone go to Premier Fitness? Ive been scammed in the past, Dont go there

It works both ways though, back when i used to work out at premier on Islington, they charged my cc every month, then when it expired, they kept calling me asking me what my new expiry date was, i never got back to them but kept going to the gym. I got 6 months free out of it, then, when they asked me for it at the counter, i gave them a bs expriy date, i moved but gave my card to my buddy who worked out at the one on Dundas-- he used for another 4 months before they banned my account.

They are pretty sloppy at premier. 10 months free, cant complain

I just read the monster thread on RFD.. http://forums.redflagdeals.com/merged-worst-business-premier-fitness-clubs-545803/ Some of the highlights:

1) Routinely charging people even after they cancel in writing (AFTER the contract expires). The only way to protect yourself is to cancel your account and open another. Then they send their collections people after you.
2) Poor state of maintenance/cleanliness across the board
3) Not paying their employees on time and short-changing them
4) People who paid for the "gold" membership which should allow them to exercise at every Premier facility in Canada find out that it doesn't get them into every gym as some managers arbitrarily turn people away at the door.

After reading about all that, I wouldn't want to have a red cent of my money to go to a business with such a reputation. The place where I work out costs more, but it's kept clean, the equipment is in good working order and people come regularly to train. It doesn't count on having 4 out of 5 people just pay their annual fee and never show up to work out.

Where I work (major financial institution) we offer services where to business that allow debiting of customer accounts to collect bill payments. Fitness clubs/gyms are put into the same category as prostitutes, casinos, illegal activities. We refuse to even look at them. There is a process where managers can appeal if they have a good relationship with the business. For Gyms we won't even consider that. They're a HUGE liability.

I think I know who this is now. LOL

About a year back I was at the gym with my buddy (who bought the Monster from me) and I started talking to this one dude. I mentioned having a bike and he said he used to have a bike too. It was an R1 but "had a Ducati engine swapped in". Me and my buddy were like uhhhuhh, yeah sure, sounds interesting. Than when he walked off we were both laughing our ***** of about how this guy thinks we're morons and is clearly talking out of his ***.............I bet this is him. Actually kind of serious.

that sounds like something OP would say....of course, hes been riding without insurance for two years as well.

ah yes, the days of hitting the gym...well, in your case you have a signed piece of paper, i would say you are done and done, just ask the person who calls you for money an email address so you can send that letter to them...after a while when you get bored of this, grab some company letterhead from a big name lawyer firm, make something look official about taking action against them for harassing you (the client), they'll pretty much stop after that...or next time claim to be your brother and say he's (you) dead, both have worked very well for me when dealing with annoying people.
