Difference is his record is clean and mine's not.
Wow.
I know this is crazy, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that perhaps the above quoted line is why you're routinely crucified (which in turn has nothing to do with your ethnicity).
... sorry to hear about such a unpleasant surprise expense.I got nailed for 42 over yesterday at the forks. Was polite with the officer, shut the bike off, took helmet off etc..... On top of the $317 ticket, he also gave me a $110 ticket for "excessive noise" Bastard
amazing.I'll never forget the day the copper let me off after ripping through a stop sign and doing atleast a 100 kph or more in a residential area...
The reason I gave him for "flying" by was I was late getting to a group ride...I think my cool friendly demeanor and full leathers impressed him, it makes you seem more serious and responsible rather than a stupid squid.
He just checked my insurance slip and had me on my way. Told me to tell all my buddies to stop for the police...
There's your first mistake. Admit nothing.Speed ticket-wise i havent been lucky, ... Im humble and admit my mistake
Better check with your insurance company, most of them charge you for it now just like it was a speeding ticket (at least State Farm does!).The only time it has not worked the officer gave me a no insurance ticket rather than a moving violation I deserved. Not going to affect insurance.
That's why you fight. And even if this one won't cost ya if you get convicted, you'll sure be crying when the next one comes around! The $400 fine doesn't scare me. Hell, I'd pay $800 if it meant no insurance hike. But a hike on 3 vehicles worth of insurance would hurt quite a bit.
There's your first mistake. Admit nothing.
I admitted I did something that may have been illegal. Dodged a "stunt driving charge" yesterday. Waiting at a red in my car driving westbound on College St. at the Grace St. intersection. It's a wide intersection so I got the jump on opposite traffic and made a left turn going southbound on Grace. Then a cop car starts tailing me so I make another left at a stop sign to see if he would follow. Yes, I see the flashing lights and pull over. Cop asked me why I think he pulled me over so I mentioned the left turn I made. I said I had plenty of time and room and I didn't speed through the turn so I thought it was a legal left. Turns out it wasn't, you can't jump the green turning left if there is oncoming traffic regardless of circumstances. Cop gave me a warning and said my turn qualifies for stunt driving and let me go. Personally, I think improper turn is more applicable.
On a saturday morning I was caught red-handed driving while talking on my cellphone, to my horror I had left my wallet with my insurance slip and licence at home (was driving my wife's car). Long story short he LET ME GO without giving me a ticket. It was a York Region cop in an SUV at Highway 7 and Leslie.
