Rob Ford reminds me of Barack Obama with one notable exception. A figure head with no power who wants change for the good but every move he wants to make is obstructed. The notable exception is the disadvantage of poor diet which affects clear thinking by way of compromised gut flora. The evidence is overwhelming. He will be charged but a full medical work up will show that, in fact, he is borderline autistic, diabetic and suffers all the classic symptoms of a barely functioning immune system. That a man can perform at his level under those circumstances is remarkable in itself. Charges dropped. Huge WSIB pay out. Bateman of RoFo will grace City Hall foyer.

Rob Ford is for capitalism and that threatens the socialists who run many layers of government.
They are trying everything they can to dis-credit him. But it’s going to back fire.
No crime was committed. Maybe except for the government workers making too much money and liberals “losing” billions of dollars.

No crime was committed? really? Crack cocaine ? totally legal, consumption of alcohol in a public park? totally legal, public drunkenness ? yeah legal, urinating in public ? yeah legal to. Huge difference between no crime committed and not having been charged. yet.
Sure it could be argued these are misdemeanors not crimes , most idiots like RobF see it that way.
Correction: Many crimes were committed however there have been neither charges, nor convictions as of yet. There is a world of difference between the two conditions, especially when the person in question has publicly admitted to said crimes, albeit after a teeth pullingly difficult process.
Rob Ford is a 'law and order' conservative. As is unfortunately far too frequently the case said law and order advocate gives lip service only to the law, and somehow believes that he's above it. Crankcall forgot to include impaired operation of a vehicle and operation without due care and attention (which was actually fluffed off by the Chief of Police at the time), in addition to the stated crimes. I find it quite comical that otherwise law and order style supporters seem willing to toss that particular value out the window, when it's their picked man who is breaking the law.

The difference when Ford threatens to sue people don't back down because its true. When Dale threatened to sue Ford he admitted once again to being a complete liar.
Rob Ford isn't fat he is just so full of hot air and bull ****. I can't believe anyone can defend him. He has been a poor leader. You can't just vote against everything. That isn't political leadership. Working with others is something Rob Ford never learned in kindergarten. Ford even voted against his own budget. What a joke.

No, it was a technicality that was used to permit judicial discretion. The premise was that since there is no provision for punishment, and the infraction was voting against his own punishment (conflict of interest), there was no infraction. In other words they have a code of conduct for conflict of interest but no way of enforcing compliance, which begs the question why bother having the rules at all?
