do ducati SS riders get more attention than other SS riders?

sooooooooo true...

every time in a cage w/ friends i point out "woooooo nice bike"
next thing i hear is always "cool, is that a ninja?"

yeaahh... thats how i was toward bikes...

now i've learned that if u ride a ducati chicks "could" swarm u like how it is in the Axe commercials :D

it's the sound man...you can hear a duc come around the bend so easily and u know it's a duc not some jap. ss. (hey i ride a r6 and i have to give duc credit for the sound).

Go get yourself an old Italian SS like a Laverda Jota - I get mobbed everywhere I go!

Music to my ears. My dream is to own a 1978 Series 1 180 degree Laverda Jota, that is the bike that gave me a stiffy when I was just a little tike. The rumble of that triple 180 motor as it turned onto my street (We used to have bike meets at my family home every Sunday), that thing could shatter windows and make girls cry! I swear I will buy one for my 50th birthday if I can find one.

This is exactly what I want, too bad I'm not back home right now!

Well, I suggested to my wife that she should take my bike for a quick ride around the area, after the ride, my bike was no longer mine. In her words "go get yourself another bike, this one is mine now"

You can get an 1198 or a new 1199. I guess it's not that bad :)

Very nice picture. That thing looks spotless do you get to ride it much?

I had a loaner 848 when my 990 Adventure was getting serviced. When I got to the office, a group of my colleagues stood around the thing for about an hour just grunting and pointing. Since they never gave my 990 that much attention, I had to bust their chops a little. :sad11:

Much like great art, the brand certainly seems to evoke some emotions, both good and bad. If I could have more than one bike, I'd park a Multistrada or a Diavel in my garage in a heartbeat.
