What to do now?...i couldnt winterize it due to personal reasons. its been stored if a garage this whole time, can it still be done or should i just wait till season starts?

I never winterize my bike, it sits in an unheated garage with only the battery plugged in. Been doing this with every bike I have ever owned and never had an issue. I would not fret over it. I would just take the battery out, plug it into a smart tender and mark the days till spring.

A buddy did the same thing with his Gixxer but he left the battery in the bike. Surprisingly it started on the first try.
I don't even take the battery out, just turn the key off at one point and let it hibernate. Not recommended, but my battery is a PITA to remove, and amazingly it's holding up fine.
Not a bad idea to pull the battery and charge it so it'll be charged when you want to start it.

I don't bother winterizing any more for the last 2 years. Just plug in the tender, fill it up with Shell's best before putting it away, and you are good to go.
Bike runs like a champ every spring.

Don't fret about it. Mine is on stands, covered up, I just turn the engine once a week to keep battery charged and parts oiled.

I don't winterize my bike. go to Canadian Tire or your favorite bike store and buy a battery tender, remove the seat and plug your battery to it and forget about it until the spring.
I do put the bike on stands and take it our of the garage every two weeks and turn it on until the fan comes on, but even that is not necessary.

Dont start the bike over the winter you are just damaging the engine wearing it out and introducing moisture in to the oil and exhaust. Just shut it off in the fall hook up a tender once a month or so add some stabilizer and change the oil. In the spring start it up check the air pressure in the tires and go ride.

You can winterize your bike in may if you like.
Just remember this is a machine not a $20,000 dress. Unless its in some harsh conditions it'll be fine. Want some piece of mind then winterize it.
I know a guy who left his bike in a shed for 5 years, old gas, old oil. He swapped the tires, emptied the gas tank, emptied the oil and it started up no problem. The bike started better than my old 4 year old 250r.

Most damage is done at start especially cold and it doesn't usually get to proper temp without riding it.
Checked online Motorcycle Winterization Flow Chart for you. Cannot be done now. Is impossible.
One thread people would say you must winterize it using stabilizer, tender, on stand, drain carbs (if applicable), all those 'important' crap. Then one thread people would say you are OK, just leave the battery in or put on tender. This is the trend I see on here. Personally I only put in stabilizer, and I RUN AND RIDE THE BIKE once a month to charge the battery. cough cough* I am expecting people here say condensation crap and it's gonna ruin my bike. I don't care, is my bike. It's been fine, don't keep bikes longer than 2 years.

I do not have to take my battery else, BMW has a nice plug I can just connect to, so when I am ready to ride again, I just pull the plug and back out, no need to remove the seat or anything. It is pricier then the battery tenders you can get at Canadian tire, but the convince and ease of use is worth it for me.
