Booked the afternoon off, and got out for my first ride of 2012 - and my first ride since early Nov last year, due to bike problems.

I think I still need a carb sync, but other than that the bike runs great!

The weather is killing me. Was not thinking we would have weather this nice so early and planned my new bike purchase around that. Must wait until May/June.

fyrebug, are u seriously waiting until June???

Until the helmet comes off...and reality sets in

Riding to work means you have to ride back! I know the feeling though. The weather was beautiful, the scoot was humming and I could have lived without a day's pay. Bonus: found my old clunky shades and they fit the Arai PERFECTLY.

Carbs are still in my basement. I regret procrastinating maintenance and missing out on the first warm day. Sad.

Took bike off stands, pulled it out of garage and started it... Winterize? I did put Seafoam in the tank before I put it away. Started up first try, and ran great. 2008 Kawi ZZR600

waiting till june.
-it's too dangerous to ride right now. cagers aren't expecting us to be on the roads.
-there's too much salt.
-tires won't stick
-anyone excited to ride right now is just a newb that doesn't have 10,000cc's.

- when are cagers expecting us? In June?
- whars wrong with salt?
- you must have some cheep a§§ tires
- you say newb like you've been riding for 25 years

BS - if you're not riding til June why do you have "heated grips. / Heat troller for winter gear"? for those frigid June days?

10,000cc's? That'd be quite the machine.

really? guys really?
I rode it every month. I'm being sarcastic.

keep the tire side down.

I was as surprised as you were at the responses. I wasn't sure to take you seriously or not until I saw the 10,000 CCs. Isn't GTAM sarcasm central?

I sort of dewinterized it.

I fixed some tail light issues, put the battery back in, started it up, and let it run for about 10 minutes. It was supposed to rain Thursday (it did), so I left it in the shed. With any luck, out of the shed on the weekend and a little riding!

It might be better to hold off till july to be on the safe side

Check kill switch!!!

Your batter can still be dead. The tender just brings up the volts and maintains it. It dont mean your battery is good because the green light is on

your battery cells are probably and its not putting out any amps.

Sarcasm was a bit ambiguous until I got to the 10,000cc part. That's when I backspaced what I was typing and replaced with: :booty:

took my bike out of paid storage today felt odd. Can't sleep can't wait tomorrow when I rip her up. First time I had to pay storage as I'm out here in Calgary working and have no garage. Never had to go more than a week without riding here let alone 3 months! Had to walk her along the sidewalk as the cul de sac I live on has never seen a city snow plower but when I hit the main streets she's free! First left turn I took it wide into the fartherst right lane and when I settled her down I look at my speedo and surprised it said 80 km/h. Must have took that turn at 90+ km/h lol. Speed limit is 60km/h btw.
