Did cp24 ever used to be good?

I ask because I used to watch it as a kid when I ate breakfast. But I've been turning it on recently and been facepalming way too many times. Who hired these people? Especially that Steve dude? He has the lamest jokes. And the segways suck. It just seems like almost everyone's under-qualified for their jobs (excluding a couple of people).

Or was it always like this & did I just not know any better? :confused:
 
Ever since Moses Znaimer sold out CityTV to Rogers and City News to Globemedia, it's lost all it's mojo. No more uncensored movies during primetime, no more Sex TV, no more Baby Blue movies.
 
CP24 is now owned by CTV or something. Ever since they stopped showing breakfast television on that channel, it has sucked hard. And that's saying something because BT can be pretty retarded as well.

I hate her. I think she needs to shut up once in a while... always keeps talking and talking. Stupid **** too.. she doesn't know what she's talking about. Random babbling airhead.

CTV owned them for a very short while when they bought CHUM but couldn't keep them because CTV owns a local channel already. Rogers owns CityTV.

No...at least I don't think so. Back when she was on BT she was the weather girl. When CP24 split from BT she was shuffled into the CP24 crowd and became a journalist or some crap haha. I liked her better as the weather girl. Her news reporting skills aren't the greatest...but she is awesome to look at! Also, I stopped watching CP24 altogether because I couldn't stand all of the d-bag antics going on.

I just watch it on mute. It's a fail channel.

Ahh...That's what it was! BT is gone. I thought Deena (sp?) was pretty funny when she replaced the chick who got pregnant.

The brown anchor's actually pretty good. Decent improv and you can tell there's potential with experience.

I used to think Melissa Grelo was the finest thing ever, then I don't know what happened. I think she let go of herself or something :laughing8: And the chick who reviews technology at night is pretty cute sometimes.

But yeah, nothing cheeses me more than than Steve guy. He's so not funny :@. You would think that the producers would tell him to tone it down, or something :S

edit: I forgot to ***** abut cam wooley. WTF
 
I turn it on to check the weather in the morning. Even for 30 seconds, it can be tough to handle.

CTV bought CHUM and all its assets in 2006. It was required to sell CITY by the CRTC. Rogers bought it. I might have been required to sell other radio and tv stations around the country, but I don't know for sure. CP24 is still owned by CTV.
 
Yep I like the City TV BT MUCH better than the CTV/Chum version with Steve the helicopter guy as the host. I miss Dina and Kevin :(

I only watch CP24 because of the news, financial and all the other stuff going on on the screen. I wish they changed it back the the City tv bt being aired on CP24 instead.
