doing a wheelie, should be a flat rate fine,no points, no insurance hike.it should not be a criminal act.when you first ride a two wheel bike.you try to pull wheelies.its human nature.when riding down the hiway,you come up on a car with a couple of, 4-10,year old kids in it, giving you the pull a wheelie hand guesture. you drop it down into second gear snap the throttle and away you go.this should not make you a criminal.for the record,i have never pulled a wheelie,in my 27 years of riding sport bikes.

Yes before the stunting law was around, I was charged and convicted of dangerous driving for doing a wheelie on the street. I lost my lic for one year, one year of probation, had to make $1000 charitable donation, attend a driver rehab coarse to get my lic back after the one year suspension. And I have a criminal record because of it, that could be used against my insurance for 5 years...I couldnt believe it either, but thats how it went down....Nowadays I guess you would get stunting charge instead, but not sure of the total outcome of that conviction exactly...
