Decent Cat 3 Multimeter in the West end?

You should read what the ADMN2 is. Lol It's an accessory head for the modular multimeter, so in other words you need to buy the modular multimeter plus the ADMN2, now it's more expensive.

I meant in conjunction with the SC56 for example..

Now the 2 possible concerns that I see in this situation would be:
1) Accuracy reduction compared to the stand-alone unit
2) Messing around with hooking up and unhooking the head
3) If the multimeter craps out, I don't have a manometer either

I guess #3 will probably be the deciding factor, but I would be curious to hear your thoughts on 1&2

I wouldn't be concerned about losing accuracy, and depending on how often you would be changing heads, would be the determining factor on 2. Like I said I have been using my stand alone manometer for 8 yrs, and have had no problems. I like that I can use it for press differential or for measuring two press. Most will do press differencial but not two press at the same time. There are times where I will confirm my results with my Dyer u gauge. I also use an Enbridge manometer at times just to be triple sure, especially when I am turning off a rest. Or apt for leaks. I use my digital for everything from leak testing, to setting up regulators. The duel port is great when setting up a duel run reg set, I can have both regs connected and then set the first up at a lower press, then the second at a higher press. You'll be using your instruments primarily for residential, I do 99% commercial. I am getting a new reed manomter that does 5 lbs. I was looking at the reed 82100 that does inches to 100 lbs. But the resolution is 2 inches, I need it more sensative then that. The 100 lbs is great when testing service press. Or setting up high press regs.

That boils down to no benefits in just getting the head considering that there is no price difference between the 2. The head isn't all that much smaller than a stand-alone. I know I'll need both at least over the next couple of months. After that, it's a crapshoot, but chances are it'll be a resi-heavy place, just by the numbers :)
 
I think the modular will be too cumbersome. I wouldn't order it online, I would want to see it and the head to see how big it really is.
