Dealing with withdrawal?

this thread raises a question I had before -- I live in a condo, so in theory I could ride around the underground to get my fix every now and then, plus to get all the fluids circulating in the bike/help keep the tires round. I've heard people say not to run it again until spring due to condensation buildup, but so long as I keep the gears low (and ride it around for 20-30 mins), shouldn't that be enough to burn everything off?

You won't get up to speed with riding in the underground parking lot.

That was my plan, it's a 2 story garage, 180,000sqft to ride in. No snow, I'm still riding.

True, and that's been the one thing holding me back from doing it. Arguably though I wasn't sure how much speed had to do with it vs just RPM, as I could easily ride around down there on the 250 @ about 5,000-7,000rpm (in 1st or 2nd).

I suppose you can get a solid stand and just start her up once in awhile and let'er rip.

I would actually not recommend this over actually riding it in the underground garage. People worry about condensation build-up and carbon build-up for the same reason why it isn't good (over the long run) to have a car that you barely drive up and down the street, or grandma-drive (never really run it through the revs).

I wouldn't go rippin' it right away, however. Slowly let the bike warm up as you ride it around the underground. Your intentions are good. It'll essentially just keep 'everything in order' (fluids, gas, brakes, tires, etc.). Just be certain you ride it around enough to let the bike fully warm up to operating temp.
