De-winterizing a Bike

ohnoes not a slightly less charged battery!!!!!! Noooooooooooo

Possibly.

You might have had luck with your batteries but in my previous bike, my luck wasn't so great :(

I wish Optima made motorcycle batteries, then you'd never have to ever worry about a battery tender or anything!

Here is my de-winterizing process...

Step 1 : Put key in ignition

Step 2: Turn bike on

Step 3: Ride bike till next winter.

:)

Yeah, I never winterize my bikes, it's completely unnecessary.

Pretty much the same for me, all I did to winterize the bike is put up on stands, change oil and remove the battery.
This time I added a little too much oil, so I will have to drain some, put the battery back and that's it.

If your battery is going flat over a short time span - you should look for a parasitic draw

I have never used stabilizer in any of the bikes I have owned, and never had an issue. Thats not to say that stabilizer is not needed or bad, I have just not noticed any ill effects from not using it. My bike only sits around 3 - 4 months of the year anyways, so its not down and out that long.

Who knows maybe the whole winterization bit is money thing? I wouldnt be surprised if it was

I still do the , stabil, oil change and trickle charger. Just for ***** and giggles if nothing else
