Tight rope walking on stilts, like a boss

As for Wallenda, I don't really understand the point of crossing with a safety harness. My understanding is they wouldn't film it if he didn't wear it, so I'm not bashing the guy.. just sayin I don't understand the hype or interest
 
My only thoughts on this were that after it's done I hope they raise one end of the wire up and make it a zip line ride. I'd pay a few hundred to do that.
