Damn road debris! >:(

yea, I read that as the situation being lamesauce, not you. I understand you're ******, but that's no reason to snap at people,

I read it as the poster calling me "lamesauce." I apologize if he/she meant the situation as opposed to me, but that's the way it sounded. As for snapping at people, aren't you making some assumptions about the intonation of my response?

Anyway, I can't believe this thread is still going on. Took the bike down to Pro6 yesterday and they got it in immediately. They're always such great guys down there! They did not recommend trying to plug/patch it, and I trust their judgement on it. So it got replaced and Johnny gave me a discount. $190 installed for (another... LOL) brand new Q2.

Pro6 are the best! And just a reminder that they have an extra tech in there in now, so they are even faster with appointments and getting work done.

Should we all pitch in for some anger management classes? geezz...sorry about your tire but you don't have to take it out on everyone who posts in your thread. If you’re looking for sympathy post that **** on your facebook wall.

What does GTAM-ized mean? :?

I was refering to the situation be lamesauce, not the OP. Just to clear that up as there seems to be confusion.

Does the same go for the motorcycle tires as it is for cars? If there is a hole in the tread then it is patchable but if it was in the wall of the tire then it has to be replaced.

yup, you have it right. flat tire on a bike doesnt mean instant death. if you can afford a new tire and it will make you sleep better at night then go ahead and replace the tire. i find it weired that a bike shop would want sell you a whole new tire rather then patch it for 20 bucks:rolleyes:

Cars have four tires. If one blows out you will probably not crash.

Motorcycles have two tires. If one blows out at speed you will likely crash. You crash at speed it will hurt and may kill you.

I wouldn't ride a plugged tire unless it was an emergency repair.

I got an absolute monster sized lag bolt in my tire (it might have been put in there on purpose, lol). I put in the tire slime stuff from canadian tire and it sealed it up perfect. I put another 8,000km's on the tire before the cords were touching all the way around! No problems, even 2up at 265kph.

You're so awesome, man!

I wish I could find the article..

In an AMA Superbike race a few years ago one rider rear ended another. The result of that was a chunk broken off the front wheel and an obviously flat front tire. They were able to finish the race (more than a few laps) with a broken front wheel, flat tire and no front brakes.

Yup. Flat tire = instant catapult to the moon.

265 kph, two up on a tire that has cords showing? You really are a role model aren't ya? I trust she was wearing no more than a bikini.

Damn, good thing it didn't go any deeper or you will be having to get that bike towed or even worse a slide.. :(
