I’m keeping an eye on the inbound GR86 allocation. All manuals.
Few autos in Quebec or out west. I’m starting a conversation with a few dealers in Quebec (some are closed on Thursday’s?????). Worst case is I’ll just buy one in cash in the summer from out west and get it shipped here.
I do.You want an auto?
Ewww. They didn't put a dual-clutch in it? That's disappointing. I understand your logic, I'm just annoyed at Toyobaru for their choice in a sports car.I do.
-I drive in traffic
-My left knee has been acting up for the last few years, primary reason I sold my 6spd optima
-it’s improved from the gen1 tranny
Well, it was a collaboration with Subaru, so I’d temper expectations right off the bat.Ewww. They didn't put a dual-clutch in it? That's disappointing. I understand your logic, I'm just annoyed at Toyobaru for their choice in a sports car.
Why not fly out and drive it home? Great vacation with the wife.I’m keeping an eye on the inbound GR86 allocation. All manuals.

I'm torn on this...I love driving stick. And if I buy a strictly toy...I could probably get away with it.I do.

I like stick. My car is currently DCT as a compromise. Less fun than a stick, not as soul crushing as a slushbox and easy to swap cars with my wife. Mini is RHD and stick with a heavy clutch. Wife will never drive that one (which is probably good anyway as it rotates really quickly under heavy braking).I'm torn on this...I love driving stick. But if I replace the Volt with something sportier...then manual automatically excludes my wife from driving it (and we've tried her driving my Genesis and Si...didn't end well).
Has she tried a rev matching standard day and night difference.I'm torn on this...I love driving stick. And if I buy a strictly toy...I could probably get away with it.

Currently I’d like to trade in the X5 locally as I’m not ballin with spare cash. Post wedding I can go gangbusters. Why not fly out and drive it home? Great vacation with the wife.
Ditto. Plus you never know if something happens and you’re at the cottage/middle of nowhere and she needs to take over....then manual automatically excludes my wife from driving it (and we've tried her driving my Genesis and Si...didn't end well).
I got my wife good enough so she could drive stick in an emergency. She hated it and was not interested in getting better nor learning anything like rev matching. I needed her to be able to get us to help if I was incapacitated. Thankfully, she never needed to use her newfound skill.Ditto. Plus you never know if something happens and you’re at the cottage/middle of nowhere and she needs to take over.
No. She refuses.Has she tried a rev matching standard day and night difference.

You mean like those impromptu drinking sessions? Ya...that's typically why we always take the van lol Plus space.Ditto. Plus you never know if something happens and you’re at the cottage/middle of nowhere and she needs to take over.
What part of it is so much better?Has she tried a rev matching standard day and night difference.

I get nervous with the old guy up the street. He has a GT500 and a raptor and his reflexes are not exactly in top form. Thankfully he drives slowly through the neighbourhood. Hell, I'm worse than I once was and I'm decades younger.
The one I drove on a caddy was up and down rpms were always perfect before letting the clutch out no jerking at all. What part of it is so much better?
(I had it in my vet, but I'd been driving m/t since I was 11.)
Mine did nothing up shifting, only down.
Are you sure? The one I drove on a caddy was up and down rpms were always perfect before letting the clutch out no jerking at all.
