Crypto: The World’s Greatest Scam.

No. Buying an actual object (or part there of) is not the same as buying magic fairy dust mined from the internet. We all speculate on price.
If I buy a bike I can ride it, work on it, look at it in my garage. With crypto I can't see it, feel it, or touch it. Unlike the bike in my garage someone like SBM could pull a stunt and the crypto is gone. Poof!
Oh yeah I see it now. Absolutley no difference.

You're rushing right through the nuance of this discussion and what @FullMotoJacket and I are saying regarding speculation. I am not saying a company is the same as crypto. I am not saying it is the same as a tangible object that can be touched and seen. It's so obvious I can't believe you keep repeating it.

I feel like you read the comment about speculation, and said "no, it's not an object". Like what? What are you talking about? If someone said the earth was round, are you going to start arguing "no! It's in the Milky Way!"

Your original question was an extremely broad and open - "how does this even work?" essentially. I have no idea why you keep tossing an irrelevant false equivalency.

Why do you insist on being obtuse. We all understand speculation, but don't tell me an NFT is the same as a painting.

And for the record I'm good with you saying the earth is round.

Can we be done now?

As long as you have less than $250K in the bank.
$100 K in Canadian dollars here, going back to when $100 K was a decent down payment on a house, not a car.

It would be interesting to chart the value of the endorsements of celebrities as they went about their lives. Trump, Brett Favre, Tiger Woods
