CRTC - National Code of Conduct for Wireless Indurstry

I do agree on how badly CRTC has treated Canadians. But supposedly a new guy is in charge of the CRTC now. So you can hope for some positive change.

And he's expecting the same cushy "consulting jobs" that Fink and the gang are getting and expects to be golfed the same way. The CRTC needs a total purge. And I still stand by my comment that it's more difficult to buy 10 provincial bodies than one federal body that you already have in your pocket.

Yeah that definitely makes sense.
I wonder what it would take to get the RCMP to start a corruption investigations on some of the CRTC big wigs.

They're too smart to get straight-up bribes.. It's more along the lines of getting a regulatory consulting position after they're done with CRTC - 6 figures, no real work. There may be other ways but they cover up their tracks pretty well.

OTOH, provincial regulation of the cartel has worked in the past and if they have to "golf" 13 different commissions into becoming their bitchboys, it'l become a hell of a lot more expensive. Another reason they're pushing for the CRTC to do it is that they get a lot more input in the process and get to marginalize the consumer. In the past, CRTC has made a show of listening to consumer demands but had backed the Robellus Cartel all the way in the end. It took serious protests and federal government intervention to reverse the action. I don't trust that body to look out for the interests of Canadian public. Too easily influenced by the cartel.

While I'm wau on the other end of the scale compared to Herr Harper, I have to give credit where it's due and he went to bat for us - got that corrupt body to toe the line. However, we can't count on a strong government to keep that scum in check every time they rule against the very people they're supposed to be protecting.

So true. Robelus are some of the most unethetical companies I know.
I think we need a real change. We need to protest this crap.
