Crown Land Camping

Last year some time I was browsing the Ontario bids and tenders website and noticed a few "Electrification" projects for Provincial Parks. Adding electrical services for RVs, 30 and 50 Amp, distribution systems, etc. I recognized the parks by name but I don't remember them now.

I didn't bid on them.

I’ve never booked a provincial park just typically show up before the gate crew arrives and always had a spot.

@PrivatePilot that last paragraph sounds a little condescending! LoL while I see what you’re saying...not everyone is comfortable living in the bush. I’m 50/50. Would always prefer a toilet/shower if accessible, but it’s not the end all be all.

They pay for the sites, then don't show. The rates are too low for them to give a ****
 
It used to be that provincial parks always saved some sites for walk ins. Do they still do that?

Nope. You can hang around till last call and hope for a no-show. I think that’s midnight at most pps.

just got an email from Parks Canada....depends on campsite

“Some sites also offer a limited number of campsites on a first-come-first-serve basis throughout the year. If you’re interested in this option, check with the place you want to visit.”
