cracked tire valve....advise needed

i have a cracked tire valve (where u pump air in)
the crack is about half way down. i can feel the air coming out.
does anyone know a fix for this

actually the needle has come off and its pissing out air

Only way to fix is to install a new valve.

Depending on what rim/tire it is...after breaking the bead, you can try and fish a new valve in. Therefore tire might not have to come off.

If the valve stem is damaged it must be replaced. If only the threaded core is loose it can be tightened or changed. If it is a traditional rubber/brass stem they are less than a dollar but a tire shop could charge $15-30 to change it. If it is a tire pressure monitor type stem on a late model this will be much more expensive (and they do break regularily)

If the stem is cracked, replace it. It the schrader valve is leaking you can get a new pin and tool to tighten it for $5 at most auto parts stores.

If you replace the stem go for a metal one, no chance of those cracking. You might also consider a 90* stem are it makes checking pressure easier.
