Here’s the thing about the positive test stats... for every person that tests positive, there are an exponential more that have been effected by that person and either gone undetected so far or have mild symptoms and didn’t reach out for testing but are still contagious and passing it on to others. This cycle continues. With 50% community spread transmission (as opposed to imported from travel), the reality is that Canada is already behind this thing and we’re going to see huge spikes in the coming days/weeks... which is why I’m still confused we are not in Lockdown yet.
Denial/self-preservation. Nobody wants to be the person that pulled the plug. They will be unelectable as the economy will take a beating and many businesses will completely fail. By doing small steps, I think the economic effect will be worse, the body count will definitely be worse, but the politicians can say "we tried but the virus was too hard to control".

I've reached out for testing. Hell I'd love to get tested. But I don't fit their profile, and my symptoms are not severe enough. That's what's so frustrating.
We should be clamping down, and doing mass testing of the populace. Drive-through testing. Home testing, whatever...just get the tests to the people. But I understand there's a shortage and we need them for NBA players and actors.

Mass testing starting with those that must contact many people as part of their day and move out from there. I am thinking healthcare as round one quickly followed by public transit staff/grocery/pharmacy staff(and likely much of healthcare again as they get exposed daily), then start working out in the population. I'm not sure if round three should be geographic, by job or what. It is exceedingly unlikely we can come up with enough testing throughput to test a significant portion of the population.

Good point. Test the healthcare workers, then transit operators, grocery workers, ESSENTIAL workers, and then move out from there.
My symptom is literally a ****** cough with a sore throat. I don't think it's anything, but @PrivatePilot described his cough that's similar to mine, so it made me think about it more.
You could both have mild symptoms. Keep a close watch on your body temperature.
It’s also the beginning of allergy season in Ontario. With our crazy weather fluctuations, it’s having an impact within my family and it’s only going to get worse once all the trees/plants fully ‘wake up’ from their winter slumber.
I went out yesterday for a ride and to burn off the rest of the storage fuel. Definitely a good break from it all. Couple of roads still have a bit of grit on them especially at intersections making it a bit sketchy, use caution shaking the rust loose.
Best part of it was 88¢ shell premium, $11 to fill lol.

I was filling up my car yesterday and the gas kept clicking and shutting the flow at $30. I kept pulling the lever to squeeze more out of it and then realized my tank was full at $30 vs. the usual $45-$50 I pay. 67c/L explained things. lol.

^--- This. The annual War with the Trees has started early this year. Upside is if I need to go out to get something and am standing the suggested one Joey Ramone distance behind the person in front of me and someone walks up and stands inches behind me, I can turn around and pretty much cough/sneeze on them at will.

You're assuming someone that would walk past a large PLEASE PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING sign and stand right behind someone is smart enough to know that.

Not assuming, just stating facts. I've been sneezing for the past week so googled it right away to know if it was a symptom. I realize most wouldn't know this yet and would likely be uneasy about lining up with someone sneezing nearby.

I had a touch of sore through and upper chest discomfort when I initially called the health department on myself last week which is why I'm off. Pretty sure the chest discomfort and the sore throat was a direct result of how much I was coughing however at the time, not a separate thing.
The cough has got better but is still nagging. Still having discussion with work about returning.

Yup same here. Was just informed I'm NOT getting on site, and they can't put me on a plane to go home, so I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere BC in a hotel. I need to find some undies and shirts, only brought enough for 3 days!
They're trying to set me up with a doctor right now, and possibly get tested for COVID. Or bronchitis because my chest seems to be getting more irritated each day when I cough. But the cough has gotten much better.
.... Be interesting to see Niagara Falls without tourists. I bet it looks the same. ;) It's like the grand canyon, you walk up to the edge of this big hole in the ground that is too huge for the mind to comprehend and you go Wow!...... thats a big hole. same as you would do now without...

I have lost my job temporarily and stuck at home with my family. I am riding everyday even for 15 minutes around Willowdale to keep sane and relax. Riding even for 15 minutes does the trick and the urge is gone. Not stopping for food or shopping obviously lol
