Corrosion of Track Bike Engines running only water?

So I dropped my water wetter/water mix on Saturday and it came out greyish. I've never seen it before but is it "normal" for water wetter mix?

Mine always comes out gray.

Which answers my question, and confirms what I suspected. It isn't out of the ordinary. Thanks.

The original owner used WW on the bike. It feels to me they degrade with time. Probably not good for the water pump

MoCool "supposedly" has corrosion inhibitors and water pump lubricants in it, which WW does not. Ran MoCool this year and it came out the same as it went in - clear and clean. But then again, I never had issues when I used WW.

Mine comes out brown/orange. Lol

Mine has been doing this too. I did some research and it seems that WW can react to some brands of antifreeze. I've flushed my bike 3 or 4 times this season (going to do it again before winter) and it's been rusty brown each time, but getting a bit better with each flush. I've been flushing with just distilled water (no WW) since July to hopefully clean out any final traces of antifreeze. There was also some kind of crusty buildup on the inside of the hoses that's been coming out. I suspect there are some deposits in the rad and engine, but I've never had overheating issues though, so that's a good sign.

Some bikes have metal (steel) pipes in the coolant system and while they are plated they still rust slowly..
I think the kawasaki is bad for this (that i can remember) - there is one by the water pump, and the yamaha r6 too that i can speak of.
So it's common for water to come out a little brown depending on the state of corrosion of that pipe , i wouldn't worry one bit.
One way around it is to get one of those silicone hose kits, i think some of them have custom molded silicone pieces that replace the metal junctions.
