I don't think they have even started to use this as a preventative measure :/ last I checked they are only giving it to infected people.
Says in the article that it stops the virus, so I’m guessing it stops a person from catching it

One of the problems with drug trials on human subjects :/ you can't intentionally infect your test patients to test the effectiveness of a vaccine. You can infect test and kill several thousand monkeys and almost nobody gives a ****. News headlines can and typically are very misleading but it sells stories.
Said on the news it was tested on so many people, forgot the number, but half was given The vaccine and the other half was give fake vaccine
This one looks better as it can be stored in a fridge for 30 days and doesn't need -70 storage.
How the 90% rating for the Pfizer vaccine math worked. So assume the 94.5% is calculated in the same manner

Thanks Mike. That guy has cool stuff. Check out this one. If you are in Peel and are exposed to 45 people in the next month, you have a 50% chance of exposure. Holy crap. Even if you were living in lockdown, weekly grocery store visits would expose you to many more people than that.

The math provided was for the 90% for the Pfizer vaccine from LAST WEEK.
It has NOTHING to do with the new claim of 94. So 38955 has nothing to do with 94%. I have not seen the math on the new vaccine.
It is my understanding that test subjects are not purposely exposed but are sent on their way to live their normal lives.

I understood where your numbers came from completely, it's just not the same thing as normal clinical trials and presentation of scientific results. These are unique times and circumstances.

I get old and forgetful but I think I posted a link earlier in this thread that explained the 'how' for the Pfizer trial protocol.
