Corbin Seats Rant

I expected a 4 week delivery as they said "3 to 4 weeks to my door" and it arrived this afternoon... 1 day shy of 2 weeks. Not bad, but I'm in Toronto until Wednesday, and it's sitting at home in Hamilton. :( Life is cruel.
 
Here's the new Corbin seat. I had to file down the front metal tabs about 5 to 6 mm in order for it to fit with the Hondaline backrest/carrier. About 1/2 hour work with a file -- no big deal. I didn't want to take too much off, so I opted for a file over a Dremel (quicker but riskier solution).

The seat seems super comfortable to me, and I can still just flat foot (I'm 5' 10.5" with a 32" inseam). The leather panels are a dead match to the Hondaline backrest vinyl faux leather. The side panels are "Black Ostrich" and the welts are "gray" (they're darker than I expected, but still look good to me). All in all, I am very pleased. Looks the dog's nads to! :)

thats why its always easier to order from a local store. Most stores for Corbin seats are not much more $$, but if there are any issues they will deal with them for you. I know there are a couple of Corbin Dealers in GTA, I remember seeing one in toronto last week just cant remember what store it was. They had a seat hanging from the window (wall) with a big CORBIN DEALER sign

I can tell you, from personal experience, that dealing with Corbin directly over technical issues is like pulling teeth from a tiger with an abscess.
 
Perhaps I'm lucky, as my order went smoothly, and I took possession in half the time they quoted. I've learned over the years that most technical issues can be best solved yourself with a little patience and time. I have yet to deal with a company that provided useful technical support/advice !
 
I've never had to deal with their customer service, but I really like their seats. Turns 45 minute seat time into 3+hours for me...
