Cop dragged by bike

"Homer, are you just holding onto the cans?"

I love how people assume that the most intelligent thing you can do when stopped by police is to race away dragging them.

What are you thinking? Is there something in the water affecting young people?

The sense of entitlement is mind-boggling.

The most intelligent thing to do would be to pull over. Just like the most intelligent thing for the cop to do would be to not hang onto a moving vehicle.

Two stupids don't make a smart.

copz is stupidz yo!

In the future, if you're down in Florida riding, don't be surprised when the cops ask you to get off the bike by shoving a shotgun in your back.
I wouldn't want to be that rider when they come calling for him.

Dragged: Take (someone) to or from a place or event, despite their reluctance.
lol he wasn't dragged, he was taken for a ride :D

If the cop was reluctant, he would have let go. Media

I like how the video was edited not to show the 2 seconds from when the car stopped to when the revving started. If the cop just took down his plates, it would have been an uneventful and routine stop. It makes for a better story to have a fleeing rider get pulled off his bike by a hero cop. For everyone's safety I hope they implement police procedures to treat bikes like any other vehicle on the road. I don't see cops reaching for steering wheels or trying to pull drivers out windows when they try to flee.

I think that we need to be more considerate of other human beings.

I take that back. I guess they do. I always thought that the person grabbing on the steering wheel is liable for any damages that occur. Especially true when a passenger grabs the wheel. I don't see why it wouldn't apply in this case as well.

And to think this happened only a week after I suggested the change in procedure.

I'm not sure if you were implying it or not. But the officer wasn't following procedure by putting his arm inside the van to reach for the keys. He is supposed to ask the driver to turn the car off and step out, or toss the keys out the window.

I'm not blaming anyone at all, but if I were in the same situation, seeing how under-aged the 15 year old driver was, I wouldn't go anywhere near that vehicle until the driver stepped out. It's no wonder procedure says that you must not reach inside, because tragedies like this will happen. Apparently he was a good cop though, so it's sad to see something like this happen to someone like that.

**** the police.

Cop should be given a ticket for stunting.

it would've been funny if the cop was dressed like a superman!:lmao:
