Comwave? reviews

I'm thinking about making a switch to Comwave (can't take much more of rogers)
Any one have a history with these guys? Good? Bad? Indifferent?

Just got off he phone with teksavvy. About 25$ more than Comwave per month (phone,TV, net). The salesman was very confusing.

With them phone is voip. Can I hook my old rotary dial phones up to voip?
 
I've only heard good things about TEKSAVVY.

Been with Rogers for many years, can probably count on 1 hand the amount of issues I've had with billing. Always resolved with one phone call.

Which reminds me, I need to call them as my promotional offer is expiring...again.

They used to issue Grandstream ATAs, and those apparently support pulse dialing. So yes actually (probably)

Edit: HOWEVER if your phones have mechanical ringers, that is a whole other kettle of fish as most ATAs are unable to power them

I've never tried teksavvy phone or tv. For internet, I have nothing but good things to say. They spend lots of money fighting the evil empire at the CRTC. I have probably gotten just as many unsolicited "we have reduced your monthly bill" and/or "we have increased your speed at no charge" from Teksavvy as I have gotten "CRTC increased wholesale rates again so unfortunately we need to pass them on to you". I have never in my life got something from Robellus without calling to ***** at them.
 
Once we make the decision to put internet up at the cottage we're going to most likely go with TEKSAVVY. We want it up there, but don't feel like paying $70/month for something that's rarely every used.

I’d have internet installed tomorrow at the cottage but I’d never heard the end of it from my aunt. Not worth missing a few days of posts from you lot.

The only real reason to have internet up there are:
- turn a thermostat on when we're going up in the winter so the cottage gets heated up
- install security cameras to see wtf is going on
- keep the kids entertained when it's raining / cold instead of hearing 'I'm bored' (but we have games up there)
- WFH at the cottage...but doesn't work with screaming / napping kids as I'd have trouble being able to attend meetings and hear what's happening
 
Teksavvy.
I've thought about changing a few times to lower cost providers but TekSavvy have been incredible.
Customer service is top notch and I agree, they are constantly fighting the CRTC .

For an Airbnb I think it’s pretty much expected….even with the rustic stuff.

Just make the wifi name something like 5G and pretend you know nothing about it.

Better yet just make it a hidden network so it doesn't show up anywhere unless you know it's there.

Hide the router somewhere and be done with it.

You can still see hidden networks (although it's less likely) and there is some overhead associated with having a hidden network (not sure why not broadcasting bungs things up more than broadcasting but apparently it does).

Called Rogers for the same reason the other day. They were surprising cooperative when I opened with "I don't want to talk to Bell, get a promotional price, then haggle with you guys. Just give me a discount and no one has to waste time."

50% discount after lmao
