It's basically big kid Lego that you can tinker with and game on
It's really the uninformed that dump money to play "that" game. I can't tell you how many $1200+ PCs I built when BF3 was announced, and BF3 isn't what I would call "graphics intensive". A $600 setup could run BF3 comfortably in big online matches maxed out.
Then of course you have the guys on overclockers.net and EVGA forums using liquid nitrogen cooling systems. It takes all types.
