Compound miter saw

I have never seen or heard of a track saw…but now I want one!

Seems like a great tool for extended cuts. Much more manageable than running a 4x8 plywood sheet on a table saw.
40 ish years ago I bought a 20' length of 4" X 1/4" aluminum flat bar and cut it into an 8' and a 4' for saw guides. They also work with a router. There's a bit of setup work with clamps in the garage but I cut the sheet stuff down to manageable size before it goes to the other shop.

I picked up a 120 volt Ryobi portable circular saw and added a fine tooth blade for finishing work. I chose the Ryobi because it didn't have end play on the arbor, minimizing score marks. For as often as I use it, it works.

Huge difference in consumer saws vs commercial saws when looking at a circular saw . Triggers ( no stupid safety lockout on pro grade ) , base plates , how the guard slides and most important runout , which is the blade wobble from poorly made arbours .

I have one of the porter cable ‘80s circular saws with the left hand drive . I’ve never been able to get used to it .
