Civil War if Obama Re-elected!!

thats why elections for judges are dumb.

I for one want to see America vs. America. Epic.

I wasn't around for the last one.

If the US won another civil war, would that mean technically they won a full war on their own?

Half the people won in the first civil war and half will win this one so yea....

First successful independent Campaign?

As mediocre as politics can be in Canada, I'm endlessly fascinated with how bat **** crazy Americans can be.

Yes, this guy is a judge in Texas.

You do know that "Yer honor, he needed killin'." is a viable defence for murder in Texas, right?

what a nut.

sad thing is, there are plenty of equally nutty people in the US.

Yup, they are prepared to die for their constitutional rights right up til their presidential choice is defeated. Then their democratic views are reversed.

I don't see anything loony.

What I see is a mostly adult discussion about something perfectly legal in their country. Just because you fear guns or don't agree with US laws doesn't make these guys "loony".

Very true. But I think it's hard for many Canadians to *not* judge. Holstering a gun as you walk down the street or go for a ride is such a foreign idea for us. I have no problem with someone owning a gun, and keeping it in their home to defend their loved ones. But to be packing as you head out to the bar to meet your buddies just doesn't compute.

I suppose a bunch of riders from Florida would think a thread about snow blowers kind of funny. However I do amuse myself by asking if there are protocols when one has more than one handgun.

We're going to the mother-in-laws for dinner. Should I take the Glock or Colt?
Does this Glock make my hips look fat?

Packing to meet buddies at a bar isn't legal in many states. If you talk to responsible gunners you will find that carrying can be very restrictive.

Yikes, if that's mainstream, they might be just crazy enough to go to war.. I'm just worried it might spill over to our side of the border.

Didja read the part about the UN taking over the US government and occupying their country?? That's not nuts???

Of course it would, they would have to get rid of that horrible socialist peaceful society to the north.

It's a threat to their way of life. Next thing you know, they'll try to indoctrinate good, wholesome Mericuns with the idea that socialist healthcare if O.K.!

Yeah, our American friends are just on a different plane of thought.... Check out this thread on the Yamaha Stryker forum that I frequent. And no, it's not a joke...

The problem is not carrying, the problem is the mentality that at any minute, they are going to need to "draw down" on somone or something... I had a chat with a guy at Deals Gap once (after they were mindlessly shooting into the dark woods) about how he was such a good draw yadda yadda... and he hoped he never had to draw down on someone, but if he had to, he would be the fastest. I asked him if he thought he was in that much danger most of the time... he said yes... Fear is a powerful motivator.

Example from your thread... Talk about having lost a grip on reality. (unless you are a gang banger in the inner city I suppose... or have a time machine and frequently visit the 19th century...)

Easy pull with your trotted hand. Or you may leave in pocket without holster for quick draw from shorts.
