Christmas Greetings from Dec 1942

Thanks! Merry Christmas GTAM!

Wish you all the best this holiday season, a happy new year and all the best for 2022!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!

There's been a lot of fear, uncertainty and doom over the last couple of years. Even though we may all have our disagreements about what is happening, I think online forums like this do a lot for mental health, just in terms of venting frustration and providing some form of social contact, especially when we're all so isolated like this.

So if you're feeling alone and miserable out there, know that you're not the only one feeling this way. We're all in the same boat!

Went with a composite pole this year instead of the traditional aluminum.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone.

Not to be a downer in this thread, but some are aware my quasi absence the last 2 months is due to the recent passing of my father. Having now lost both my parents before 40 i can only stress that you all take the time to appreciate the family and friends in our lives over the holidays. We tend to take our health for granted and we always believe we have more time.

Condolences.

@Evoex my condolences to you and your family...I lost my dad at 21 and my mom 5 years ago at 48 and it doesn't get easier, it just gets different...I miss them both every day, however it's the memories that keep them alive in my heart, mind and soul...prayers heading your way...

Merry Christmas to one and all...may you all have a safe and healthy season and may the year ahead be one filled with the promise of better things to come...

Composite? 'Having trouble with your feats of strength?
How goes the airing of grievances?

Feats of strength have been suspended until I get my (L) shoulder replaced.

I may text my sister later today and start in on her for S&G.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Quiet day here. Sometimes I miss the days of our kids being young and all the festivities of Christmas morning starting at 6AM.

But there's a lot to be said for having kids in their 20's now.

Sorry to hear, condolences. It was the same for me, both of my parents were gone before I was 40 even. I've had a polar shift in my life outlook in the last 5 years myself seeing several of my previous coworkers retire only to pass away inside a few years as well. Live life to the fullest now, because tomorrow is never guaranteed.
