Christini or other AWD Motorcycles

Looking to buy a used AWD motorcycle. Would prefer to stay in Ontario but I am open to other options. The bike can be any make. So far I'm only aware of Christini who appears to be in the states only.

I've seen a Christini kit exactly once in the wild on a trail ride, but the owner had disabled the system because he was limping to the destination on a flat front tire, so I didn't get to see it in action.

I suspect that they'll be extremely rare to find used. You'll probably have to order the kit and convert a bike yourself.

wonder if it would be easier to handle with the front engaged?

Right. I also wonder how it would handle when cornering on asphalt.

Notice how he's putting weight over front wheel to dig himself out. You'd have to retrain how you ride on the loose stuff now that you have traction and drive, front and rear.

I did a ride on a Rokon trailbreaker once a friend owned up at the cottage . The front steered with a gyroscope effect at any speed , and it was a very slow top speed. But if you need to get up a 45d slope of pea gravel, while carrying 600lbs of moose meat, its the tool. The build was very utilitarian however the machine was 30+ yrs old and worked ok

And don't forget that you can float a Rokon if you don't already have the hollow hubs filled with extra water or spare gas.

I used to walk by Christini all the time when visiting Philadelphia. I’d suggest contacting them to see if they have any dealer here who might have a demo (not sure if Transport Canada approval has been received, or if it would be required for that matter?).
