Chocks and straps

Anyone know any good deals or places to get chocks and straps for transporting a bike?

The princess auto motorcycle wheel chock is (in my opinion) hands down the best chock for the best value (goes on sale for $50 + Tax). It can be used to trailer the bike, as well as a regular stand. The hard part is actually finding one to purchase. It is a seasonal item for PA, so they only carry it a few times a year.

As for the straps, I'm sure some CT Straps should do just fine.

I use the condor stand, works great in my truck, on my trailer and in the garage when I want to work on bikes with no center stand, It is not cheap but one of the best pieces I own and well worth the extra expence!

OMG hahaha I had to read the thread title twice

Just one of those days :confused2:

What days do you need it for?

I can lend you my chock.

Do you have a trailer too? I need to get my track bike from the bfs house to the shop then to my house. I'm not sure on the days yet though.

U-haul.

They have motorcycle specific trailers for rent complete with some sort of chock and tie downs, probably your best option.

Does anyone have any experience with the automated wheel chock from Royal Distributing? It's currently on sale, until Oct 21st.

I use it to trailer, and at the track, works sweet!

If anybody is interested in the PA blue chock, you can buy it directly from the manufacturer! They ran out of the blue ones though... Only difference between the two is the adjustable head clamp..

I've got both chokes listed. The pa version is much better than the royal version. It seems to squeeze the tire as you roll in to it And it seems more stable. Both work but I'm gonna end up with another pa unit soon

The problem with the PA chock is it's never available. It's a special buy item and they don't know when they'll have any in stock. PA sells it for $50, whereas the direct from manufacturer price is $115. I'd feel ripped off paying that knowing the price from PA.

I paid 70 for mine a couple years ago and Feel it's every bit as rigid as my buddies baxley which was like 4 times that price. See if they can order you one in. The Problem with these is that when they do arrive people buy as many as they can for themselves and their friends

I called PA head office today to inquire why this is and the nice lady told me "They were a surplus purchase and will never be available from that manufacturer or at that price again". Sounds pretty cut and dry to me and a good reason they are always out of stock.

We could Probably get a group buy going...
It seems like they were willing to flex on the price if we placed a big enough order.
They have them on clearance for $96.
I already bought one, but I wouldn't mind buying a second one.
