Cheapest Way to Change Rubbers.

That's a static balancer. You might as well guess or place random weights around the wheel. That may work if the wheel is close to balanced already.

Works for me up to 300km/h, as well as at 55 degree lean angle.

Why would your wheel not be close to balanced after a simple tire change?

Because tires are not perfect, and inbalanced. I can tell you have no idea what you are talking about.

300km/hr, 55 degree lean ..sure. Love the internet.

True, so is the wind, unless you ride in a vacuum.

Also, reading comprehension is clearly not your strong suit.

OP, whats the blue car in the garage in the background?

oh, and you clearly already have too much disposable income, Duc 750 that has sat for years... :(

Funny, never seen a $5000 balancing machine at the race track. I guess the Pirelli/Michelin/Bridgestone/Dunlop tire vendors have been doing it wrong.

The internet IS awesome.

u guys are amateurs. i just drove the bike to the shop with my tires strapped to the bike. threw the bike on the center stand and took the wheels off. i used an old car tire under my headers to hold the front wheel off the ground.

Cheapest way.... finish up, rinse it out, re-lube, roll back on!
Your partner can help, kinda like a pit crew!

disregard my last post. i thought we were talking about motorcycle tires. i guess i was wrong and i have nothing to add to the current topic.

So this is a thread about the genius of saving on stands? What else, you save on chain cleaner by using kerosene?
Bravo!
(I also like to tension my chain, install my brakes myself, and lube my axle, gives me a peace of mind)
I'm a bit confounded, can you explain the axle lubing thing to me?

Never use axle grease before?

Not really my pics, but I have done all those steps sometimes in my life:

So tire balancing is a scam? Thanks for contributing.

FYI, race tires are built to far better specs than road tires and have far less mass.

That way of bead breaking is actually better than some machines and doesn't mar the rim.
Filling with fire..what could happen, only good things.

So I had a conversation with Tony at Bluestreak yesterday about this very thread. Needless to say, we had a chuckle about this thread while he used a balancing device just like the one Yorkee posted.
