Cheapest site to buy helmet?

Hey guys,

I am eyeing a new helmet. The HJC rpha 70.

I know there are a lot of sites outside of Canada that sells helmets at a cheaper price compared to buying it at Fortnine or in store retailers here in Canada. If you guys know sites that sell helmets at a cheaper price can you share?

Don't worry, I support the local retailers we have here too. I just bought something from GP bikes over the past weekend.

One of my buddies has the RPHA 70 helmet and the inner visor comes down randomly some times which would annoy the heck outa me. You may want to opt out for the RPHA 11...same at the 70 without the inner visor.
I'd just buy from Canada. No ducty/brokerage/shipping/exchange.
If you did want to save some money look into the HJC FG-17. They are great helmets for the price. Have the center visor clip like the RPHA and pin lock visors. They have lots of different styles and colours and are half the price of the RPHA.
the FG-17 with artwork are around $260 I belive.
Good luck!

yeah I've tried most of the HJC helmets and all of them are great. Finally I found a brand that is comfortable on my head. I have the RPHA 11 acutlaly right now but there is one graphic I like for the RPHA 70 and also I would think the internal visor would come in handy for me sometimes. But yeah the RPHA 70's still go for like $400-$500 + here in Canada. lol.

I think there was a thread before that mentioned sites to buy gear at a cheaper price abroad... and not getting charged any duties. Can't remember where

I think the discounts could be relative to production date. In late 2017 I bought a helmet that was about 50% off - it was manufactured in early 2016.

I just got my rpha 11 pro recently on a steep discount from Fortnine, very happy with it so far.

Only complaint is that the visor doesn’t quite snap easily into the closed locked position

haha agree with this. I have to really force my visor DOWN in order for my rpha 11 to close. Uuslally I just put it in the lowest setting though

I’m such an idiot...I just realize the visor has a small plastic lock on the lever that needs to be in the right position to easily open and close the shield.

When it’s in the center, no problem.

That’s what I get for not reading the manual

so what do I have to do to close it fully easily? I know when you open it back up you lift the lock up.

There is a tiny black piece in the lock that slides left and right.

When it’s in the correct position, the lever has no trouble locking into place (or at least mine doesn’t)

lol I see the black lock now but when I move it left or right.. it's still hard to close. So doesn't make a difference to me. And if I try to put it in the center.. it just eventually shifts to the left or right due to friction of the visor trying to close.
