My dad jumped the gun though and got insurance with TD before I had a chance to tell him about the quotes Chris sent.
Keep in mind these rates are for a 50 year old.
If OP tried standalone for himself, that Fz07 would be closer to 4000$/year (im with aviva via paul south as well)
.Actually according to the OP that quote is for the 2 of them
so let's say it's 800-900 for the father, that means as a secondary the son is only costing an extra 3-4 hundred bucks....?
something just don't add up........
If this is what one can get, from the guys mentioned in your post,,,,,,I will be giving them a call today.......
I got a 30 year old bike, I should be able to get my son and me insured for the same if not less then.....cause when I was looking, rates like the ones posted were not even a hope in hell....
Hey Paul and Chris, expect a phone call today.....I want cheap rates as well.......me paying 1200 bucks on a bike on my own that is 12 years old seems wrong compared to the prices mentioned above, and I am with Aviva........
Miracles do exist......let's see if they fall my way as well....
.
most rates are based on claims against a particular model, so age won't matter. Realistically, other than looks and some minor improvements, a 10 year old SS will still do what a 1 year old one will for the most part.
Wow, it seems we got some really good rates because some of you are having trouble even believing them!![]()

was thinking the same thing.I'm pretty sure the quote is for the Dad only....
Chris got the information he needed to write the quotes directly from me and he has been reading this thread as well so I highly doubt he's confused on what our situation is. I'm done with this petty arguing. If you believe that either I or a licensed insurance agent is not capable of communicating properly, so be it. I don't have anything to prove and I will not be posting screenshots any more so don't ask. It clearly has no point. The quotes are legitimate and exactly as I have described them. If you believe something else to help you justify your own insurance situation or to help you sleep better at night, more power to you. Ride safe.
