Cheap GPS device @ Canadian Tire, may be great for warm weather rides.

Regarding MortScript, could you please clarify the start of the instructions.....

- Run MortScript exe from the device's shell (Start/run...). This will create required registry entries and return a message.

Does this mean I have to put the GPS back into explorer mode to do this? Where is the mortscript.exe?

Where does the autorun.mscr go?

hmmm my skin folder is empty and when i go to settings like you said the skin icon isnt clickable???

You don't have any extra skins installed then. You can download and install them separately. Did you check the 3D settings as I outlined?

You can get the dimensions of each Aquabox from the ram-mount.com website and pick one that fits your GPS accordingly.

I did a brief search today but couldn't find the size that fits well out of those that would fit at all. I guess I'll have to leave that to others, can't go around figuting everything out myself :).

I'll do my best :)

You got it. MortScript folder and all the files should be in \TFAT\mort directory and mortscript.exe has to be tun from the GPS, i.e. in "explorer mode". TFAT is the GPS built-in memory, not the SD card. Here's what should be there:

8,192 Autorun.exe
4,096 killproc.exe
80,384 MortScript.exe
73,216 mortzip.dll
5,632 setup.dll
137 autorun.mscr

The only other thing to do is change \TFAT\shell.ini as per instructions.

Yes i did Vlad. Nothing in the skin folder. I'll go see where to download some skins then, thanks

Anyone still going?

Listen up folks:

Load your Curtis meet!
(sounds kinky, doesn't it? :p)

I'll be at Lakeshore and Leslie Tim Hortons on Sunday at 11-ish with my laptop and all the goodies. Bring your devices and/or SD cards if you want them loaded.

I'll be there rain or shine
, but if the weather cooperates I'm hoping to go for a little ride after. You're welcome to join or lead and suggest destinations.

For those who have the garmin software installed, do you have a link to a guide or something as well as the software?

Also do any of these gps softwares take into account traffic conditions up ahead? Reason I ask is that my buddy has a fancy shmancy garmin that will route differently based on some kind of traffic report.

thanks again guys..I had Miopoket running both factory and igo software then something went wrong after i minimized the mini bar and it was never the same..

this mortscript is way better..

now i will be able to help out anybody in Brampton area..

thanks guys..

WOW, 450 posts and over 14000 views. This thread has really taken off.

Is this a record? Paul?

It came to my attention that some owners of Curtis GPD359 GPS don't know that it has a built-in stylus (little plastic "pen" used for poking at the touch screen). It's in the lower left corner when you look at the back of the unit, just slide it out.

Anyone else get the custom icons (CT and timmies) for the POI working?

I've had no luck yet. Searched the net too, but nothing useful came up. Keep looking, there has to be a way. Pois are not very usefull if they all have the same or the same color icons.

BTW, there's \tools\Pocket DivX encoder. It's a conversion tool to optimize videos for pocket devices. I haven't tried it yet.

Just use TCPMP player I posted way back.. plays DivX just fine.
http://tcpmp.en.softonic.com/pocketpc
Find the release thats a CAB or *.cab file
I put mine on the tft drive

I was OK with the built-in player, I just wanted to see if converting a video to 320x240 would make it play more fluently. So far it does and it also considerably reduces the file size. I'll try TCPMP when I get to experimenting more with the menu systems/GUI. Thanks!
