Chain lube

I did a search for "chain lube" and didn't find any post specifically on the the subject so I thought I would make a thread.

A dealer I went to suggested I use use BEL-RAY NEW SUPER CLEAN CHAIN LUBE.

I can't say i like it, as it leaves the chain and everything else I spray WHITE!

It also does not come off very easily.

What do you all use?

Several threads in that search. I use the Dupont stuff from Lowes.

Funny when I click on that link I get

My stuff must be sleeping.

What do you like about it?
How much a can?

PJ1 Blue label - Used it, it was OK. Really sticky but didnt fling

Bel Ray - Does not fling, Has white application and is sort of a piita to clean...no complaints :) Found it to be a bit better then PJ1

Dupont - Need to pick up a can as I ran out of Bel Ray and want to try this out... heard many great reviews :D

+1

Last time I went to a Lowes, the shelf only had a few left. I filled up my knapsack with the remaining cans (after I paid of course)....the lady watching the self-checkout area was looking at me like I was nutz.

For those who use Dupont, how much mileage do u normally get out of a chain?

I have been using HHS2000 made by Würth. Very little fling at all and easy to clean.
@Power_Man, Talk to Keith, he can get you a can and give you his thoughts also.

HHS is awesome lube, but easy to clean? I think not.....

The best lube I have used so far is 90W gear oil. I apply it and let it drip off overnight. Afterwards I spray some Maxima chain wax over the gear oil. It seems to reduce the amount of gear oil flinging off.
