Chain - Is it done?

Why? If the chain isn't past its stretch limit and there are no sized links a little surface rust on the plates is not the end of the world. Chains are made of metal and if you ride in the rain and not just from tims to tims of nice sunny days they will get a bit of rust on them.

Now if it is past it stretch limits or there are seized links or the rust it more then just on the surface then yes replace. Otherwise....
 
That sprocket is a bit saw-toothed, but still serviceable I suppose. Something I didn't see mentioned yet - chains that have been dry for a while and then are ridden may decide to spit o-rings. Keep an eye on it - if you lose any o-rings then the chain will definitely need to be replaced as it will kink pretty fast afterwards.
 
Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Conclusion: chain should be replaced; sprockets are not done yet but they are on their way out. So, I am replacing the chain and sprockets.
