My old Buick winter beater is less rusty than that.
You need to save up a few hundred and let a mechanic look that whole bike over, who knows what else is neglected and ready to fail.
You are seriously lucky that didnt jam up on the highway in front of a truck.

My gf lives off Columbia Way. I can give you my old used oil to lube up any future chains.
