Anyone can suggest a good parking area? I am planning to take the ferry and will be there for about half the day so I want to make sure my ride is there when I get back and in relatively good health!!..

please note I am taking the bike, not planning on taking TTC or car.

PM are welcome if you must...

Thank you.

There is a parking lot 1 block north of where you catch the ferry. Probably easiest place to park if you don't want to search around for free street parking. I think they only charge 10 - 15 for a car so maybe you can make a deal with the attendant.

It can be a bit of a walk, but you can always park on Simcoe or Front or any DT sidestreets with Green P in the financial district.

I highly recommend not parking near ferry docks. Too many tourists and too many busy hands not respecting other people's properties. they'll touch your bike, or sit on it, or put their kids on the bike, etc. And yes, i've seen it happened.

Fine I'll give up my little secret parking spot... If you park on Freeland you have 2.5 blocks to walk to the docks. As long as you are out of the spot by 7pm PEOs won't touch you. I park my bike there every day so you can share my spot... Look for the Vulcan EN500 LTD. I'll leave you extra room. Send me a PM and I might even buy you a hot-dog on your way there or back seeing as I work across the street (10 Bay). We could even conceivably make a ride out of it! lol.

damn, free hotdogs?

Why can't you park in Barrie :lmao:

Watch out for evening parking restrictions in that area - got a ticket on Cooper Street because I didn't pay attention. :)

Was just looking at Street view and most roads around it with street parking are "No parking 7pm to 7am"

Are non-residents allowed to take vehicles across on the Ward's Island ferry? Was thinking could park the bike on the island!

:lmao:that would be awesome, mid-night race around center island.. no cops, no pedestrians, no cagers...
I wish..
but I don't think they would allow a motor vehicle in the ferry.

I've parked here before and the guy gave me half off. It was $20 and he let me park for $10. He had me park in a little area right by the booth, so my bike was in his sight at all times. It wasnt a normal spot so he probably just pocketed it as a bonus. At any rate, a lot of lots dont deal but this one in particular will.

The Ward's Island ferry takes vehicles, was just wondering if you have to live on the island to do so. That would be awesome though to race through the islands!
