Did the cop have reason to pull you over? Can he/she pull me over just because of my exhaust?

- you refuse to turn it over on demand

I did not suggest pocketing the SD card after getting pulled over. Pocket the SD card whenever the cam is not in use. Video documentation of riding shenanigans and keeping the cam in plain sight (with SD card inside) is poor planning.

Absolutely. Best case scenario: $110 improper muffler ticket. Worst case scenario: $110 improper muffler, $110 unnecessary noise, $550 no catalytic ticket. All of those tickets, if convicted, count against your insurance (even though they aren't speeding, dumb, I know!).

Cops need NO reason whatsoever to pull you over. When I get pulled over every day and ask "why did you pull me over" they always reply "just checking paperwork", so no, they don't need a reason.

You can avoid (or at least fight) the "improper muffler" ticket if you install the baffle in your muffler. I've successfully fought it in court when I can prove it's not a "hollywood" muffler (i.e. not straight through).
