Not entirely impossible. If there is not something in front of that tiny thing, expect to fail. If there is something other than pipe upstream of that, I'm entirely with you.All we have is your opinion that it "sounds normal".
Without measuring the decibels properly at the correct distance from the pipe, it's impossible for anyone on the Interweb to say whether you'd pass a sound check or not just based on a picture of the pipe.
To me it seems like it might be pretty loud...but like Jesus said -
"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
Since I'm running an aftermarket exhaust as well
Why not try one of those free apps on your phone to get an idea of where you stand in terms of DB?
Not entirely accurate - but should give you a rough idea no...?

Were you holding the phone or was it in the proper test location? That can make a huge difference.Downloaded a debical meter app on my android. With bike started and revved up, phone slightly below passenger seat.. app measured 78db. So it can be around 80db realtime.
No good. If you're not in the correct location, you can determine very little. Afaik, they are only testing at idle, just start your bike and measure in the correct location.I was holding phone a little over the exhaust.. and below passenger seat
