CB500f and CB500r start at $6300
CB500x starts at $6800

Site didn't show anything for Feeight and PDI.

What do you guys think? For that price there's a ton of good bikes to choose from (used of course)

Although it is true that there are a ton of good bikes to choose from at that price, you can never really compare a brand new right from the dealer bike to used bikes.
It brings up the argument why buy new when you can buy used?

I would say that it sounds like a reasonable price for the bike...

I guess will find out this weekend or in Jan what a dealer will let us take one home for.

Prices are fair. I'm seriously looking at that 500R

If you really want one put down your deposit now. There will be none left by summer.

Bikes looks great.

Thinking of an example in this category... 2013 SV650 at $8,400.... tons of people will buy the Honda because of the lower price, possible lower insurance, and because it is a Honda. Suzuki sales are going to hurt in this segment

Ya I think these things are going to sell like hot cakes. I highly doubt Honda will be doing any budging on price. Same thing when the 250 came out there were few deals to be had.

Way cheaper than the 650 options that are available.

I've got a budgety that I'm trying to stick with so if it comes within it (with my 250 as trade) then I'm all over this. If not then I'll just enjoy the lil 250 for another season! Maybe hit 25k by the end of 2013 riding season.

I just bought a new Versys 650 for $5900, that is cheaper than Honda is asking for this 500. Just saying...

That's great that you got it for that price but the MSRP for the Versys is $8699.

Wow that's some awesome negotiation skills! How do you like it? I want to sit on this thing to see how I fit and how high it really is. It's definitely on my short list.

Maybe new to you. I just got a brand new 2012 Versys for $8000 OTD with a set of Givi panniers and that's the best price I could find on this continent(US/Canada).

Also you're comparing apple and oranges here between the Versys and the CB500.

It isn't just new to me, it is new as in 0 km's on the odometer. A dealership in Montreal was blowing out stock, they had 3 of them (and yes they went quickly).

I know comparing apples and oranges, but the comment was made you can't get a 650 for the price of a 500, I just demonstrated you can.

As for how I like the bike, 1000 km's in 2 weeks and I love it more each ride. Way more nimble than my Tiger 955i and far more soul than my V-Strom.

Went to the show and really liked the cb500f but unfortunately couldn't make a deal with the sales rep. They're asking 6300 + 700 for freight and PDI +++ and the difference was just too much.

I did really like the Gladius and the FZ6R which both seemed like a good fit. The BMW F650gs was also great but a bit taller although I will search more for it now. Just wish that Kawi was there but I'll need to check out the ER-6N as well.

I don't expect Honda dealers to budge much if at all on these new models. Did you get a chance to snap some pics? How was the fit and finish?

They did budge a little bit but not much. I'm not surprised though same thing when I was looking at the 250 before.

Anyway the bike looked and felt really well put together. The X model felt very comfortable and it wasn't as high as I had expected so that's was good to see.

Actually I was very impressed with the nc700s feeling but that's even more expensive and there's zero for sale used at the moment.
