Caution 15th Side Rd.

It is decent. The piece between townline and 5th line is good to go. The piece between Trafalgar and 25 is rideable but there are a few remaining stripes of loose stuff in some of the corners between the car tracks, and the 4-way stop intersection is treacherous so be VERY careful coming up to that. That's the only really bad spot left. I'm going to ride it later today.

When you say rideable what exactly does that mean? When I rode it two days ago I could ride it, but no way in hell would I try to have "fun" on it. I am avoiding this road and the many others like it until they're back to 100%

That's pretty much it. Took it at around 80% of usual pace today and it was OK but you still have to watch out for stripes of loose stuff in between the car tracks. The 4-way stop intersection is not good.

BUT ...

I also passed the street sweeper on this afternoon's ride.

Rode it yesterday also (eastbound). Good from Guelph Ln to 25, by good I mean rideable but it was better before. First turn after 25 has some rocks/gravel on the road, be careful there. As already mentioned the 4-way stop intersection is a complete mess, slow down and prepare to stop well ahead of the intersection. The rest of the way to Trafalgar is rideable but definitely rougher than the first half. Still plenty of loose stuff along the sides and between tracks so be careful. This road is officially off my local favourites list, temporarily I hope.

So the road has been getting better and better each day but there still is alot of loose gravel along the edges of the road. In some spots the gravel is a foot high. If your riding from Guelph Line to Hwy 25 in between 5th Line and 6th Line is a very nice S turn. The ****** that lives at the house in the middle of the turn has decided that it would be a good idea and clear all the gravel from the edge of the road and throw it onto the road right in the middle of the turn. WTF??? I slid on the gravel in my jeep so if your on your bike WATCH OUT. You dont know its there until its too late. I can tell you that if I crashed in that turn because of his stupidity I would have my Lawyer pay him a vist.

Wow that's terrible. How do you know he did it? You saw him ?

No I didnt see him but His driveway is the only driveway in that turn. He moved the gravel from about 20' on either side of his driveway and thru it on the road. No other driveways on the road have it cleared. I cleared it off the end of my road as I always have to turn onto or off my street where it piles up and dont want to chance it, but at least I thru it in the ditch.

Just be carefull of it if your out this way.

15 is a "sideroad"! NOT a highway. The region of Halton "repairs" it like this every time. It's not your playground.Track it!

15 SR is one of my fav's. I love riding it.

It's been out of commision for some time now. I probably will stay away until the spring. :(

I dont recall anyone saying they were using it as a track, but thanks for piping in slick! We know what kind of road it is and we also know what the region does. We are just relaying information on the condition of the road. Do you not ask about track conditions before you go out? Thought so.

No access to the road from Trafalgar. Its been closed off.

Closed between Trafalgar and Sixth Line due to bridge repair. Looks like they might be there for some time. They are also repaving Trafalgar between 5 Sideroad and 15 Sideroad.

Bridge is open again. It looks like they did some work on the expansion joints at each end, and that's it.
