15th Side Rd between Hwy 25 and guelph line is being re-paved and patched up in some spots. They did a REALLY ****** job so becareful of the uneaven, rough and rocky spots. The last spot I saw them was between town Line and 6th Line. Just a heads up guys.

Went through there today. It is between 4th line and 6th line. At least they're using proper pavement, not tar and chips - but they're doing a crap job with no proper paving machine, basically just pouring it out on the road and rolling over it. The loose stuff should quickly pack down or dissipate, but it's going to be at least as bumpy as before. Waste of money ... that section of road didn't have anything wrong with it.

Was through there on Sunday... WTF have they done? That road was never that bad. It's terrible now! We should all park outside the city hall and blockade it until they pick up each individual piece of crap asphalt that they laid down... There's no way they used proper equipment to do that either... This is what we get with the "lowest bidder" system.

It's a cheap, nasty job for sure, but at least it's only on straightaways. I assume they're finished what they set out to do, given that all the construction signs have been taken down.

If the objective was to cover all the straightaways between certain points, they missed a couple spots, but I ain't raising a fuss, because they missed the corners, too.

As of this morning - Wednesday July 1,1 they were putting down tar and chip. It starts @ townLine and ends @ 5th Line. The Best S turn on that road is now ****ed. Very loose gravel. Be carefull on that stretch. Not sure if they are doing any more of it but I will keep posting if they do. Hopefully they send a street sweeper out in a week to clean off all the loose gravel.

Chop.

REV it LOUD and PROUD by the S turn.
Jim Kenzy loves to hear the bikes go by and see them cut through is lawn.

Is it possible the locals have paid-off the road crew to do a poor job as a sort of "motorcycle calming" effect?

I just came through with my car. At the moment, considering that the gravel only went on yesterday, it is pretty much un-rideable except at a crawl speed. 60 km/h in the corners had my car wanting to slide.

I did a little favor ... kept the wheels on the gravel in the middle of the road and the middle of the lane, to hopefully either pack down or scatter the gravel that hardly anyone else drives on ...

Rode through there today. It's ruined... just in time for dude with the hot dog truck. Bad timing for him to set up shop there.

was there last night with couple of bikers and yeah they drop the gravel to piss bikers off ... still most of it paved and good. last afew kms close to Guelph line where u should be careful.

It appears that Halton is doing their annual tar-and-chips blitz. Other roads in the area have also been done. 10th Sideroad from Trafalgar to 25, 1st Line both sides of 15 Sideroad (don't know how far in either direction).

Update ... went through in my car again today.

It looks like they are using a decent mixture of stone to tar for a change. The piece of 15 SR that they did a couple weeks ago is rideable, if perhaps not quite ready for any knee-dragging antics, and even 10 SR is not all that bad, but be careful coming up to the 4-way stop and near intersections in general, it is not packed down there yet.

BUT ... they just did the whole length of 15 SR between Trafalgar and 25, and it is a real mess.

Saw a Ducati Monster with passenger going the other way and they were wearing shorts. Owwwww.

Rode the stretch from Appleby to Trafalgar on Wednesday. It is much improved! Looks like they have a good thick layer over the bumps, especially that nasty seam just after the curve between 4th and 5th line. Watch for loose gravel at the stops as mentioned before.

How's the road now? Hopefully its getting packed down nicely and the rain has given it a nice cleaning. Im gonna check it out later this week.

It is decent. The piece between townline and 5th line is good to go. The piece between Trafalgar and 25 is rideable but there are a few remaining stripes of loose stuff in some of the corners between the car tracks, and the 4-way stop intersection is treacherous so be VERY careful coming up to that. That's the only really bad spot left. I'm going to ride it later today.
