Carpenters! Question about cabinet plywood

I've done this too but I have spots now where the space doesn't work with stock sizes.

I usually only custom-make stuff at home because it allows me to make something that looks like it belongs there. But I have to say that on my last two houses, in some cases I bought cabinets and made them into built in's. You may have seen them do this on a lot of the HGTV programmes. It's cost effective and less disruptive to my family.
 
Tremclad is still oil based FWIW. I used it instead the high tech yacht stuff to paint a wooden rowboat bottom. I don't think it would stand up for heavy use on cupboards. Colours suck.

I don't have much luck with flow out on acrylics.
