This is usually the case. $80-$100 for a rebuilt alternator plus another $50-$60 for labour.

thats wholesale numbers you're chucking out there, retail is around 150 for part, plus lab 80 to 90 per hr for install. and don't forget the gov wants there share.

so 280 for a alt installed is about the going rate.
