As much as I despise loud exhausts, an akrapovic on it makes some amazing music.
 
There is a 2015 Capo with 9500Km for sale on the Canadian Gov't surplus site - min bid is $8500 right now. 2015 Aprilia Caponord 1200

not sure I'm okay with the fence post welded to the exhaust can on this one

Environment Canada did that for testing I assume

I was quite entertained by that schnoz. It's a good excuse to get an Arrow.

That's an afterburner. It shoots heat away from the plastic bags.

Nice bike lad. I shopped these last Spring and reviews came back good on reliability.

I think I the rally version is aesthetically more appealing. Maybe I have a soft spot for laced wheels

I wanted a Rally mainly for the looks
it's not going to get much off-pavement use
maybe some gravel
single track mud routes?
zero interest in that
at least not with a 600 lb bike
 
Congrats! I too went for a euro bike (KTM). They are sort of like having a super model girlfriend... A bit more maintenance but worth it!

so the first hiccup

haven't been able to ride much this summer
that's another story

got out today as the weather was fantastic
a late summer/fall day with clear blue sky and no bugs/humidity is my fave

bike is ripping and providing much enjoyment
stop for gas and a bottle of ginseng tea

get going again
fuel is reading 2 bars out of 5
same place it was before I had stopped, WTF?

got home and started reading
apparently Aprilia doesn't sell enough bikes over here
to build a fuel gauge that is happy with our corn-gas

Meh, trip odometer has worked well for almost a hundred years. Gas gauges on a toy are a needless bauble.

KTM had a similar issue. Shaving down the float valve worked. There was enough friction to stop the gauge registering properly in some cases.

Also...taking a 600lb bike off road sorts the men from the boys and keeps the national underwear market in a healthy state.
 
It must be Euro sourced fuel sender issue as Ducs have it as well. Ethanol in fuel has been the general consensus on what's believed to be their issue.

I've read the same thing

I've also read that avoiding the ethanol for a few tanks can swell it down again
so I guess it's gonna be Shell high grade for a bit to test that theory

if we'd allowed PET to follow though with the NEP
we wouldn't have our petroleum industry married to the US like we currently do

corn has no place in petrol
