Can you identify what this part is?

07-08 GSXR1000, this electronic part is plugged into the headlight hearness, seems to be OEM. Have checked the owner's manual and online fiches, cannot find anything on what it is. Don't know where its correct location is, right now it's just ziptied by the left front signal wire. Links to pics:

Never tried it when I had it off, didn't think it would be this hard to identify.

Tipover sensor? It doesn't match anything I can see on the fiche, just guessing
 
Wait - could this be a bypass for the OEM electronic steering damper?

BINGO!:thumbleft::thumbright: Didn't know this gen came with an electronic steering damper, I thought it was the gen after. Both street and race bikes have Ohlins dampers, and the race bike has a race ECU & harness, so it doesn't need the bypass.

Thanks, now I'll just stuff it somewhere behind the headlight.
